The company history
ALOG‘s history started in 2000 with the foundation of .comDominio. In 2005 ALOG was established in Rio de Janeiro, with the mission to provide quality managed IT infrastructure services. In 2007 both companies merged to consolidate the leadership in managed hosting in Brazil. Since then, ALOG has had an average annual growth of 30%, while maintaining a solid financial situation. In the same year, a new era in the company’s history began. ALOG is incorporated by Equinix and Riverwood, and becomes part of the biggest and safest data center in the world . In 2012 the first phase of SP2 reached its full capacity as well as the construction of the second phase of the project with 800 m². And in 2013, under the guidance of Eduardo Carvalho, who took over as Managing Director from Sidney Breyer, founder of the company, ALOG started building RJ2, in an area of 15 thousand m² in Del Castilho, Rio de Janeiro, and the completion of the first phase is estimated to occur in June.
ALOG’s name comes from the Italian word alloggiare, which means to host, to shelter. Our name was chosen because it fits perfectly with our mission – in order to be the largest, best, and most profitable data center in Brazil, we need to go far beyond simply providing excellent hosting services to our clients.
