Audio and video broadcasting is currently a reality, and is soon-to-be a basic standard for companies distributing content to a considerable public.
The Internet connection required for performing these tasks should be a high-quality one, with short paths between source and destination and, specially, it should run at reasonable costs.
These requirements cannot be met by a simple dedicated Internet connection with a single backbone provider.
However, depending on the number of concurrent users, this need can be fulfilled using the Distributed or the Balanced models.
Remote Access adds value to the model, by carrying out communication between the encoder located at the client's office and the server hosted at the data center.
